Montoursville AYSO Region 690

AYSO 690 Registration FAQ

What am I registering for?
Registration includes the Fall and Spring season. Your player doesn't have to play both, but registration includes both.

What if we only want to play one season?
Register as early as you can, because registration in the fall guarantees your spot for both fall and spring. As soon as you know, please let us know which season your player will participate in.

Which division will be child be in?
AYSO league age is changing to be determined based on the school year of the fall season. They must be UNDER the age of that division, so if your child turns 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 15 during the current
calendar year, they'll be bumped to the next age bracket or unable to register (15). AYSO is changing this policy to reflect their age during the school year and more closely align with their grade
levels\.

What else do I need to know?
All players MUST wear shin guards, against the skin, and socks to cover. They cannot wear any jewelry, earrings, watches, etc. They cannot have a cast or hard splint, with or without a doctor's note. The splint/support must be entirely soft to be allowed. These rules apply to practices and games. For games, the Indian Park divisions must have a jersey but are not required to purchase the whole uniform. Mill St divisions must have the entire uniform: jersey, shorts and socks. We keep prices as low as possible.

Any special rules?
AYSO National has a zero-tolerance policy for referee abuse. All adults are there to cheer on the children, coaches are there to coach and referees are there to ref. If you have a problem or issue to report about a referee or coach, please reach out to the RC, Ref Admin or Coach Admin. AYSO also has a no dog, no spoking and no vaping policy. Our fields are kid zones and need to be kept as such.

Can I request a certain team for my player?
Only volunteers who choose to serve together are able to request specific teams. Volunteering guarantees your child(ren) a spot on the team.

How does AYSO balance teams?
Relying on ratings forms from coaches for the year before, our region does our best to balance players accordingly.
